SUPPORT OPTIONS
Since I will not be available via phone, email or in person during my leave, here are some alternative options for ACT support:

ACT Knowledge Base (aka, "The Free Option")
If you are getting a basic error message or just have a question about how to use a feature in ACT, the ACT Knowledge Base is chock full of helpful articles and tips for all versions of ACT.  To access, go to www.act.com, click on the Support Menu, then "Knowledgebase".


Pay Per Call Customer Support
You can call ACT at 770-492-6417 to speak to a technical support person on a per-incident basis.  Charges are $50 for the first 10 minutes and $5 per minute thereafter payable by credit card.  (Visa, MC, Amex or Discover).  This can be a good option if you have a quick question and do not want to invest in an annual support contract.  **NOTE: Sage Software no longer supports version 6.0 or earlier.  Pay Per Call support is for ACT 2005, 2006 or 2007.


Corporate Edge Support Plan
If you would like to sign up for an annual unlimited support contract, call 866-421-7752 or download a PDF brochure.  This option provides unlimited technical support for all of your users from 9am to 9pm Eastern time with a "stateside" (U.S.-based) senior-level technical support person.  They promise "priority queueing" and callback within 4 business hours.  The brochure does not specify the cost of the plan, which is $499 for the first 5 users, and $40/user thereafter annually. **NOTE: Sage Software no longer supports version 6.0 or earlier.  Corporate Edge Support is for ACT 2005, 2006 or 2007.

Other Local ACT Consultants
If you prefer an alternative to Sage Software support, there are many other qualified consultants who work in the Bay Area listed on the ACT website.  While I cannot specifically recommend any one consultant, I have met most of the Northern California ACCs at conferences over the years and in addition to being qualified, each of them brings a unique focus to their work with ACT and provides an array of services related to the use the software.  All of them should be able to support any version of ACT, including ACT 6.0.
